Jim Lee – Music City Airstream Club President

  Jim was born in Florence, AL and went to high school in Washington DC, where his father worked for the USDA Farm Home Administration and his mother was a teacher. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a Forestry Degree, and from Indiana State University with a Masters’ in Public Administration.  He worked as a State Forester in Indiana, and Kentucky. He was activated for Viet Nam by President Johnson, and served in the Active Army, National Guard, and Reserves in Artillery Units. He retired as Colonial-(06) in 2003 with 37 years of service.

During the time in the Guard/Reserves, Jim managed Trade Associations of loggers, sawmills, and forest landowners with annual meetings, lobbying in State House/senate, educational seminars, and day to day activities.  He retired from association management, and joined the ranks of City Manager/Administrators, where he managed the city of Bolivar, TN, and the City of Fayetteville, TN.  Jim retired from City Management, and bought an Airstream and has been a member for five years enjoying camping and traveling.

Jim’s goals for his term is HAVE FUN!!! , increase membership, develop a new name for the Unit, rallies in great areas, good communication, and enjoy old friends and make new friends.  Thanks for the confidence you have placed in Sara, my wife, and me.  We will be calling on you for help!!
